A Conversation Highlighting the Bank On Immokalee Coalition Movement
As we, as community leaders and Financial Capability practitioners, look at the new post-COVID economy, there will be so many changes in the ways people work, and for whom they work. Despite these impending shifts, having a deposit account with a licensed and insured financial institution remains as important as ever.
Join FPP, Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, FDIC, and all your peer community stakeholders as the launch of a local Bank On movement is explored. Bank On coalitions are locally-led partnerships between local public officials; city, state, and federal government agencies; financial institutions; and community organizations that work together to help improve the financial stability of unbanked and underbanked individuals and families in their communities.
The Bank On movement has already connected tens of thousands of people to safe and affordable accounts in communities, cities and regions across the nation. Bank On coalition collaboration also works to raise public awareness, target outreach to the unbanked, and expand access to financial education, thereby elevating Financial Capability.
The Bank On movement in Immokalee was ready to move pre-COVID, and is again ready to make great things happen on behalf of the south central Florida community! Join this meaningful conversation to be part of the movement!
