More than 201,100 Households Have Found Relief with OUR Florida

$1.09 Billion in Relief Has Been Obligated to Florida Families Statewide

Tallahassee, FL — From March 10 through March 17, OUR Florida approved 4,219 applications and obligated more than $22 million in relief to families behind on rent and utilities payments. More than $1.09 billion has been obligated to more than 201,100 households across Florida since the program launched May 10, 2021.

“We are privileged to partner with Florida Department of Children and Families for OUR Florida because we know that every check delivered gives recipients peace of mind during uncertain times,” said Mark Misczak, COO of Tidal Basin Group, which manages program delivery of OUR Florida.

Given the recent wildfires in North Florida, OUR Florida has deployed staff to Panama City to provide relief to tenants in the panhandle. Visit OURFlorida.com to make an appointment to visit with an eligibility specialist in person at the Panama City location or one of 16 other locations across the state.

OUR Florida provides Opportunities for Utilities and Rental assistance to Florida families and businesses. Property owners who receive relief on behalf of their tenants are able to recover their losses.

Floridians who rent the home, apartment, or other dwelling where they live can apply for relief through OUR Florida. To be eligible for benefits, renters must be low income or unemployed, experienced a loss of income or financial hardship during the last year, and behind on rent or utility payments, or at risk of falling behind.
