The U.S. economy is missing out on an estimated $300 billion a year as systems, institutions, and businesses discount the power of the Black consumer, according to a new report by McKinsey & Co., “The Economic State of Black America.”
Join us on Oct. 7 to hear Shelley Stewart III — a partner at McKinsey & Co., lead researcher at the McKinsey Institute for Black Mobility, and one of the report’s lead authors — share key findings from the research.
Following his presentation, a reaction panel of regional leaders, including Char Dobbs (COO, The Activate Network), Commissioner Steve Grove (MN DEED), and Velma Korbel (VP, and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, APi Group), will participate with Shelley in a discussion moderated by Tawanna A. Black (Founder and CEO, Center for Economic Inclusion) about the report’s implications for Greater MSP.
There will be time for audience Q&A during the discussion. We hope you will join us!
