Please register and join the CFPB for three upcoming webinar events!
For VITA programs: Moving Dedicated Savings Volunteers Forward: A discussion with two pioneering programs, Monday, September 13, 2 – 3 Eastern.
Regardless of tax assistance method, dedicated savings volunteers can be effective at both increasing tax time saving and supporting efficient delivery of tax assistance. This panel will examine two road-tested models for this promising practice. Panelists: Janet Smith, Regional Manager, Western Region, New Ventures Maine / CA$H Maine; Mimi Turchinetz, Coalition Director, Boston Tax Help, Coalition, plus their colleagues with experience as dedicated savings volunteers.
Second Delivery: Financial Empowerment for the Workplace, Friday, September 17, 1-2 pm Eastern.
The financial well-being of employees matters to employers. Employers and researchers alike are discovering that helping employees to become financially empowered—having the knowledge and the skills to make informed financial decisions—makes a difference for both employees and their employers. Employers that offer financial empowerment to their employees either directly or through referrals can improve workers’ job performance, make contributions to the health of the wider community, and benefit in other ways. Join us for a webinar on the Financial Empowerment for the Workplace Guide, developed by the Administration for Children and Families. This webinar—provided by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau—is open to all. After you register yourself, please share the registration link with employers in your community and others that may wish to join. Note: This is a second delivery of the webinar held earlier this month. If you missed the first delivery, join us!
Savings Message Testing: Measuring the impact of your marketing and outreach, Thursday, September 30, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
Have you ever used focus groups to better understand your clients’ preferences and decisions related to money? Have you ever used A/B message testing to learn how to make your digital communications more effective and engaging? Join us for a webinar on how to apply these tools to optimize your communications with the people you serve, helping them to save and take other steps that can improve their financial well-being. (Also: On Friday, October 1, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern, you can join us for an optional follow-on discussion to the Savings Message Testing webinar. This facilitated discussion will provide an opportunity for peer-sharing and group discussion of participants’ challenges, successes, needs, and ideas related to testing messages about saving. You will be automatically registered for this event if you register for the September 30 webinar.)
