ReadingPals volunteers would normally be in Florida classrooms at the start of the school year, working as reading mentors with students who need a little bit of extra practice. This year is certainly different, but our support of social emotional development and early literacy is still needed. According to NWEA, “In the summer following third grade, students lose nearly 20 percent of their school-year gains in reading.”

This year we have 15 ReadingPals programs around Florida that need virtual mentors for just 30 or 60 minutes a week. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a virtual ReadingPal this year, please sign up here.
